Terms of Service

Who you are dealing with

BROAD TESTING CONSORT S.R.L., a limited-liability company registered in Romania. Registered office: Sat Scorțeni, Comuna Scorțeni, Str. Unirii nr. 18, 107525 Prahova, Romania. Trade Register (ONRC Prahova) no. J29/3199/2022 · fiscal code (CUI) 47143880 · VAT no. RO47143880.

Email support@gitgudracing.com · Tel. +40 724 963 908. One mailbox for everything: support, billing, withdrawals, privacy requests and complaints. "We", "us" and "our" in these terms mean this company, and "you" means the person who uses our services or buys from us.

We trade as GitGud Racing, GitGud Racing Academy, GITGUD Racing and GITGUD Academy, and we run both gitgudracingacademy.com and the store at gitgudracing.com. Whichever of them you buy on, your contract is with BROAD TESTING CONSORT S.R.L. and these terms apply.

What these terms cover and how you agree to them

These terms cover everything we sell, on this site and at our store, including Academy memberships, access passes, courses, the book and 1-on-1 coaching. They also cover gift passes, your account, the community features of this site and partner codes. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your personal data, and partners in our affiliate programme also have their own agreement (see Partner codes and the affiliate programme).

  • Buying on this site. Before you pay, the checkout shows what you are buying, the price and, for a membership, how often it renews and at what price, and you can change your choice before you pay. The sentence directly above the "Pay now" button says that by placing your order you agree to these terms (for a membership, also that it renews automatically until you cancel). One unticked box asks us to start right away; for a course or the book, that box also says that you then lose the right of withdrawal (see Your right of withdrawal). We keep a record of the wording you saw and of when you ordered, and the confirmation email repeats those sentences and names the version of these terms that applies to your order.
  • Booking coaching. A session booked through our coaching page or a coach's booking calendar is covered by 1-on-1 coaching below.
  • When the contract is made. When we confirm your order or your booking by email.
  • Without buying. If you have an account but have not bought anything, the rules on your account, the community, content and acceptable use apply to you. Simply reading a page does not create a contract.
  • Language. These terms are available in English.

Words we use

  • Academy: the members' area of gitgudracingacademy.com and everything a membership opens in it.
  • Membership: the Academy subscription that renews automatically at the end of each billing period (every month, every 3 or 4 months, or every year, as shown when you bought it).
  • Access pass: Academy access for a fixed number of days, paid once, that does not renew.
  • Gift pass: Academy access for a stated number of days that costs you nothing and does not renew; we give it to you ourselves, or on behalf of someone who gifts it to you.
  • Course, book: a one-time purchase of digital content that you use inside your Academy account.
  • Coaching session: a live 1-on-1 session with one of our coaches.
  • Paid period: the time your membership or pass has already been paid for.
  • Consumer: a person buying for purposes outside their trade, business or profession.

Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the platform or to buy from us. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and to any purchase.
  • One account per person. Keep your login details private, and tell us straight away at support@gitgudracing.com if you think someone else is using your account. Selling, sharing or transferring access to another person is not allowed.
  • Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Signing in. You can sign in with your email address, with Google or with Discord. Discord sign-in works only while you are a member of our Discord server; if you leave it, sign in with your email address instead.
  • Accounts we create for you. When you buy a membership on this site's checkout, or a course or the book on this site's checkout or at our store, when you enroll in a free course at our store, or when an access pass or a gift pass is issued to your email address, we create an Academy account for that address if it does not have one yet and email you a link to sign in. A membership bought at our store comes with an access code instead, which you redeem on the account you choose. If you did not expect the account or do not want it, reply to that email or write to support@gitgudracing.com and we delete it.
  • When a membership or pass ends, your account stays open at the free Community tier: you can still sign in and manage your settings and your data, and Academy-only content is locked until you join again.
  • No closing for inactivity. We never close or delete an account because it has not been used. It stays until you delete it, or until we close it as described under Termination.
  • Deleting your account. In Account Settings, press "Delete my account". You are signed out straight away and we email you a link to undo it; after that your account is deleted, and we keep only what the Privacy Policy lists: the records the law requires, the records of what you accepted, chose or cancelled, kept as evidence, and a few things without your name, such as your star ratings and challenge lap times. If you still have an active membership, it is cancelled first and your account is deleted once that is done. Deleting your account does not by itself refund a paid period: see Your right of withdrawal and the guarantee.

Memberships, prices and payment

  • Where you buy. On this site's checkout and at our store at gitgudracing.com. Both are run by us, and the price, any renewal and the payment method are shown before you pay.
  • Prices. Prices are in US dollars; for buyers in the EU the price shown includes VAT. Your bank or card issuer may convert the amount into your currency and charge its own fee.
  • Payment. Payments are taken by Stripe (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link), PayPal or Alipay. We never see or store your full card number.
  • What a membership includes. Access to the Academy for as long as your membership is active, as described on our Features page and at checkout, plus 15 extra minutes on every 1-on-1 coaching session you book. Changes explains how the Academy can change.
  • Memberships renew. A membership is billed in advance for its period (the billing period shown when you bought it: monthly, every 3 or 4 months, or yearly) and renews automatically at the end of each period, with the same payment method and at the renewal price shown when you bought it, until you cancel it. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
  • Price changes. A new price applies to new purchases from the day we publish it. If we ever change the price of your plan, we tell you by email at least 30 days before the first renewal at the new price, and you can cancel before it. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for. If our pages promised you, when you joined, that your price would not go up while you stay subscribed (for example as a Founder rate), we keep that promise: we do not raise the price of that membership for as long as it stays active without interruption.
  • If a renewal payment fails, the payment may be tried again over the next few days: we retry a card payment, and PayPal retries a PayPal payment itself and may collect a missed amount together with your next payment. If a card renewal still cannot be collected, that subscription is cancelled, nothing more is charged on it and we normally email you; your access runs at least to the end of the period you have paid for. We charge no fee for a failed payment. You can stop any renewal at any time as described in How to cancel, and join again from your account whenever you like.
  • Passes and one-time purchases are paid once and never renew: see Access passes and gift passes and Courses and the book.

How to cancel a membership

Anytime, from your account page: ask to cancel and we stop your renewal and confirm it by email. You keep access until the end of your paid period.

  • How. In the Academy, open Membership Perks and press "Cancel membership". Before your request is sent we may show you an offer to stay; you can decline it and go on. You can also ask by email to support@gitgudracing.com from the address on your account.
  • What happens next. A person handles every request: we stop the renewal and confirm it to you by email. Ask any time before your renewal date; there is no cancellation fee. If a renewal is taken after you asked to cancel, write to support@gitgudracing.com and we refund it.
  • PayPal. If you pay with PayPal you can also stop the payment in your PayPal account; asking us is enough.
  • After you cancel. Nothing more is charged. You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for; then your account moves to the free Community tier (see Your account). You can join again at any time.
  • Offers to stay. If you accept a lower price when you ask to cancel, your membership continues and the lower price applies to every renewal for as long as your membership stays active without interruption. We confirm the new price by email.

Free trials

When the checkout offers a free trial of the membership, it shows how long the trial lasts and the amount and date of the first charge before you start. You can cancel the trial from Membership Perks before that date and you pay nothing; otherwise your membership starts on that date and renews as described above. Starting a trial is your request that the service starts right away: if you withdraw after the first charge, you pay only for the days you used.

Access passes and gift passes

  • Access passes give you Academy access for a fixed number of days, shown at checkout, paid once with Alipay on our checkout. A pass does not renew and nothing is charged later. It starts when you pay or, if you still have access from a membership or another pass, when that access ends, so no paid day is lost. We email you before it ends; to keep your access, buy more time from Membership Perks. Passes are sold to buyers outside the European Union only, and partner codes cannot be used with them.
  • Gift passes. Sometimes we give someone free Academy access for a stated number of days, ourselves or on behalf of a friend who gifts it to them. We send it to your email address as a personal claim link, and the days start when you claim it. A gift pass costs nothing, does not renew and cannot be exchanged for money; we may withdraw it if the claim link was passed on or these terms are broken. When it ends, your account stays open at the free Community tier and we may email you an offer to join.
  • The 30-day money-back guarantee does not cover passes; your right of withdrawal does.

Courses and the book

  • Lifetime access. A course or the book is paid once. You can watch or read it in your Academy account for as long as the Academy runs, without paying again. Courses are used online, so you need your account, a current web browser and an internet connection. The book is read online in your account too, and we also send it to you by email as a PDF, which is yours to keep.
  • Keeping them working. We keep courses and the book working in your account and fix errors we learn about. New courses are separate products and are not part of an earlier purchase.
  • If we ever close the Academy, we tell you by email at least 90 days in advance and give you a way to download the course videos you bought or, if we cannot, a fair refund.
  • Personal use only: see Content and intellectual property.

1-on-1 coaching

These rules apply to every live 1-on-1 coaching session booked through our coaching page or a coach's booking calendar. The rest of these terms applies to coaching too, except the 30-day money-back guarantee, which does not cover coaching sessions.

Who sells the session

Every coaching session, with any of our coaches, is sold by BROAD TESTING CONSORT S.R.L. (see Who you are dealing with). Your contract is with us, and we are responsible to you for the session, refunds and complaints. Your coach delivers the session: Marian Barbieru, our founder, or Adrian Kulleseid, who coaches for us as a contractor.

What a session is

  • Live, one-to-one time with your coach over Discord, at the date and time you book: you share your screen and drive while your coach watches and works through what is costing you time. You need Discord on your computer, a working microphone and an internet connection that can share your screen while you drive.
  • A session lasts 60 minutes, or 90 minutes for Marian's longer session. With an active Academy membership you get 15 extra minutes on every session; mention your membership when you book.
  • A session is coaching, not a promise of a particular lap time, iRating or race result.

Price and payment

The price of each session is shown on our coaching page and on the coach's booking calendar before you book. Prices are in US dollars and include any tax that applies, so the price shown when you book is the price you pay; your card issuer may convert it into your currency and charge its own fee. You pay by card when you book, on the coach's booking calendar (cal.com for Marian's sessions, cal.eu for Adrian's), and the booking is confirmed by email.

Cancelling or rescheduling

  • You can cancel or reschedule a session free of charge up to 24 hours before it starts (35 hours for a session with Adrian), with the links in your booking confirmation. If you cancel in that time, you get a full refund.
  • If you cancel later than that, the session is not refunded, unless your 14-day withdrawal period is still running: then you can still withdraw before the session starts and get the full price back (see Your right of withdrawal for a session).
  • If you have not joined within 15 minutes of the start and have not sent your coach a message, the booking counts as a no-show: the session is used and not refunded, unless your 14-day withdrawal period is still running and you withdraw within it (see Your right of withdrawal for a session).
  • If your coach has to cancel, or the session cannot take place because of a problem on our side, we offer you a new time or a full refund, as you prefer.

Recording

We do not record sessions unless you ask us to. If you ask, we record the session, send you the recording and then delete our copy.

Your right of withdrawal for a session

A coaching booking comes with the 14-day right of withdrawal in Your right of withdrawal, counted from the day you book. If your session is more than 14 days away, you can withdraw within those 14 days and get the full price back. If you book a session that starts within 14 days of booking, we provide it inside your withdrawal period. If you withdraw before the session starts, even after the free cancellation time above, you get the full price back. The cancellation rules above apply once your 14 days have run out.

What we do with your booking details is in our Privacy Policy. Complaints about a session go to the address in Complaints and dispute resolution.

Your right of withdrawal (14 days)

As a consumer, wherever you live, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of the day you made it, without giving a reason (these terms follow Romanian law; consumers in the UK and elsewhere also keep any equivalent right of their own country). To withdraw, tell us clearly before the 14 days are over, in any of these ways:

  1. Our online withdrawal function: Withdraw from contract here. It opens a form for your name, your email address, the order and, if you like, your own words. It works without signing in, and the link in your order confirmation email opens it with your order already filled in. Press “Confirm withdrawal” and we email you an acknowledgment straight away, stating what you sent and the date and time we received it. The same function is linked at the foot of every public page (“Withdraw from contract”) and on the thank-you page after a guest checkout, and, if you have an Academy account, it is in your Account Settings under “Withdraw from a purchase”.
  2. Email to support@gitgudracing.com.
  3. Post to the address above, for example with the model form below.

You do not have to use the model form; a clear statement sent before the 14 days are over is enough. We confirm receipt by email and refund you with the payment method you used, within 14 days of your notice, at no cost to you.

  • Memberships are a service. On this site's checkout you ask us to start your membership right away, so if you withdraw you pay only for the days you used. If you bought it at our store without asking there for an immediate start, you get the whole payment back. Within the first 30 days our money-back guarantee refunds the whole first payment anyway.
  • Access passes are a service too. You ask us at checkout to start your pass right away, and if you withdraw you pay only for the days you used.
  • Courses and the book are digital content. On this site's checkout you agree that we make them available right away and acknowledge that you then lose the right of withdrawal. If you bought one at our store without that agreement and acknowledgment, you can withdraw within the 14 days and get the full price back. The 30-day money-back guarantee applies either way.
  • 1-on-1 coaching sessions are services booked for a date: Your right of withdrawal for a session explains how the right works for them.

Model withdrawal form (fill in and return only if you wish to withdraw):

To BROAD TESTING CONSORT S.R.L., Sat Scorțeni, Comuna Scorțeni, Str. Unirii nr. 18, 107525 Prahova, Romania, support@gitgudracing.com:
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following service / digital content: ____________
Ordered on: ____________ · Name: ____________ · Address: ____________
Signature (only if this form is sent on paper): ____________ · Date: ____________

30-day money-back guarantee

If the Academy is not for you, write to support@gitgudracing.com within 30 days of your first membership payment or of a one-time purchase (a course, the book) and we refund that payment in full, no questions asked, with the payment method you used, within 14 days of your request. The guarantee is our promise on top of your legal rights; it does not cover renewal payments, access passes or coaching sessions. Your statutory rights, including the right of withdrawal above, are not affected.

What we promise and what we don't

Our courses, the book, the Academy and its tools are digital content and digital services, and consumer law gives you rights we cannot take away:

  • They must match their description, do what we say they do and work as content of their kind normally does.
  • If something does not, you can ask us to put it right, free of charge and within a reasonable time. If we cannot or do not, you can ask for a price reduction or end the contract and get your money back (for a membership, for the part of the period affected).
  • For a course or the book we are responsible for a fault that shows within two years of the day you got it, and in the first year it is for us to prove that it was not there from the start. For a membership we are responsible for the whole time you are a member, and for that whole time it is for us to prove the service was as described.

Consumers in the United Kingdom keep their rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, consumers in Australia the guarantees of the Australian Consumer Law, and consumers elsewhere the mandatory rights of their own country.

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any specific result (a lap time, an iRating, a licence or a race result) will follow from using it: that depends on you, your equipment and the simulator. What other members achieved is an example, not a promise. Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer in your jurisdiction.

Changes to the Academy and to these terms

Changes to the Academy. We keep improving the Academy: we add courses, tools and challenges and sometimes retire old ones. We may also change it to adapt to a change in a simulator, a payment provider or another service we rely on (such as Discord or Garage 61), to meet a change in the law, or to fix errors and security problems. A change never costs you more for a period you have already paid for. If a change makes the Academy worse for you in more than a minor way, we email you at least 30 days before it takes effect; you can then end your membership free of charge within 30 days of that email or of the change, whichever is later, and we refund the part of a paid period you will not use.

Changes to these terms. We may change these terms to reflect changes in the law or in a regulator's requirements, in our products, prices or payment providers, or in how we deliver them, or to correct mistakes. We update the "last updated" date and, for a change that affects your rights or what you pay, email active members at least 30 days before it takes effect, with a summary of what changes. If you do not agree with such a change you can cancel your membership before that date. Small changes that do not affect your rights (typos, clarifications) apply when we publish them. Simply using the site is not how you agree to a change: a change applies to you from the date in our email, or from your next order if that comes first.

The "last updated" date at the top is the version of these terms. You can print them or save them as a PDF with the link at the top, and the confirmation email of an order placed on this site names the version that applies to it. Each version is kept, so you can always ask us for the one you agreed to.

Community content and moderation

This section explains what you may post on our website, who can see it, how anyone can report content, how we moderate it and how you can complain about a moderation decision.

What this section covers

What you post on gitgudracingacademy.com that other people can see: your ratings and written reactions published on our public Reviews page, and your profile name and avatar as other members see them (for example in the list of members online and on leaderboards). We call all of this "your content". To post content you must be old enough to hold an account (see Your account).

It does not cover what you post on our Discord server. Discord hosts that content, and Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines apply there, together with our Community Standards below. To report something on Discord, use Discord's report tools; you can also tell us, and we act as server moderators.

Who can see your content

  • Your ratings and written reactions to a completed lap review may be published on our public Reviews page, anonymised ("Academy member · car · track · month") and machine-translated. The rating card tells you this before you submit.
  • Your profile name and avatar are shown to other members, for example in the list of members online and on leaderboards.

Your licence to us

You keep ownership of your content. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store it, show it to the people named above, translate it for readers of another language, and keep hidden or deleted copies for the time stated under Statement of reasons. The licence ends when the content is deleted, except for those copies.

What you may not post

You may not post content that:

  1. Names, identifies or targets another driver beyond what the incident needs. When you write about an on-track incident, for example in a review, describe it by car number, role and what happened on track. Do not post another person's real name, iRacing name, Discord handle, email, location, photo or any other personal data, and do not link to their social profiles.
  2. Harasses, insults, threatens or demeans anyone, including drivers who are not members, coaches or staff. Saying that a driver was at fault is fine; abuse is not. "A at fault, late lunge" is fine. "A is a cheating idiot" is not.
  3. Discriminates against or attacks people on grounds such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or age.
  4. Is unlawful under the law of Romania, of the European Union or of the country you post from, including defamatory statements of fact, incitement to violence, child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, non-consensual intimate images, and content that infringes someone else's copyright, trade mark or other rights (for example a clip you have no right to share, or a copy of our paid course material).
  5. Is spam or unapproved promotion: advertising, affiliate links, referral codes outside the partner programme rules, repeated or off-topic posts, or content posted by a bot.
  6. Is manipulated evidence: edited, re-timed or mislabelled clips or telemetry presented as genuine.
  7. Attacks the service: malware, links to it, attempts to scrape or load-test the site, or content designed to break the page.
  8. Pretends to be someone else or to speak for GitGud Racing or a coach.
  9. Shares a lap or racecraft recording of another driver without their permission. Send us your own laps only.

Within these rules you can say that a driver was at fault, disagree with a coach, criticise us and discuss anything about sim racing.

How we find out about content that breaks the rules

  • Reports. The written reviews on our public Reviews page and the names in the list of members online carry a "Report" link to our report form. Anyone, member or not, can use the form, for any page of the website, or write to support@gitgudracing.com.
  • Our own review. Staff and Community Managers read what members post as part of running the website, and may act on what they see without a report.
  • Orders from courts and authorities. We comply with lawful orders to act against specific content or to provide information about a specific member, and we tell you when the law allows.

A person decides

Every decision to hide, delete or restrict content, to restrict posting, to suspend community features or to close an account is taken by a person on our staff (the founder, a Community Manager or another member of our team who runs the community). We do not use automated tools to decide what happens to content. One automated filter exists: on the public Reviews page, a written reaction that contains the member's own name is held back automatically and not published (its rating still counts), to keep the member anonymous. When a filter has flagged content that we then act on, the statement of reasons says so. The only other automation is a bot check on some sign-up forms and the ordering of lists by date and activity, which is not moderation. If we ever add another automated tool, we update this section first.

What we can do about content that breaks the rules

We choose the lightest measure that fixes the problem. In order of weight:

  • Ask you to edit: we message you and give you 48 hours to change the content yourself.
  • Hide: the content stops showing to other people. It is kept, hidden, so that a complaint can be reviewed and the decision reversed.
  • Delete: the content is removed from the site; a copy is kept only as Statement of reasons says.
  • Warning: a written notice that a further breach brings a restriction.
  • Posting restriction: for a stated period (normally 7 to 30 days) you cannot post new content, for example a written reaction for the Reviews page, or change your profile name and avatar.
  • Suspension of community features: for a stated period you lose access to the parts of the website where members see one another, such as the list of members online and the leaderboards. Your membership, courses, reviews and settings stay available.
  • Account termination: your account is closed and you may not open another; Termination says what happens to a paid period.
  • Reporting to the authorities: if content suggests a threat to someone's life or safety, or involves child sexual abuse or exploitation, we hide it and inform the police.

If you are also a partner in our affiliate programme and the breach involves your link or code, we may suspend your link, your code and the payment of commissions. That suspension is a measure under this section: you receive a statement of reasons and can complain about it. Clause 18.3 of the Affiliate Programme Agreement also applies to it, including when a suspension can become the end of that agreement.

When a measure follows a report, the person who reported is told the outcome. We never tell them anything about you beyond that, and we never tell you who reported unless the law requires it or they agree.

Reporting content

  1. Use the "Report" link on a review or next to a member's name, our report form, or email support@gitgudracing.com with the subject "Content report". You do not need an account.
  2. Tell us the link (URL) to the content; what is wrong with it and why you think it is illegal or against our rules; your name and email address so we can reply (not needed for child sexual abuse or exploitation, including grooming, which you may report anonymously); and confirm that you believe your report is accurate and complete.
  3. We confirm receipt straight away: the page you see after sending shows your reference and the time we received it, and we also email you a confirmation (at most three a day to the same address); a report sent by email is confirmed within 2 working days.
  4. A person reviews the report. We normally decide within 7 days, and never later than 14 days.
  5. We email you our decision, the reasons for it and how to complain if you disagree.

Reports that are obviously unfounded, or sent repeatedly to harass a member, are themselves a breach of these rules. After a written warning we may stop processing reports from that sender for a stated period.

Statement of reasons

If we hide, delete or restrict your content, give you a warning, restrict your posting, suspend your community features, suspend partner commissions or close your account, we email you, at the latest when the measure takes effect, a statement that says what we did, for how long and where it applies; the facts we relied on, and whether we acted on a report or on our own review; that a person took the decision, and whether an automated filter flagged the content; which rule of these terms or which law the content broke, and why; and how to complain, and that you keep the right to go to court. We do not send one for obvious high-volume spam, or when we hold no email address for the person. When we report content to the police, or act on an order from a court or an authority, we send it once the police or the order allow it.

Reports, decisions, statements of reasons and complaints are kept for 12 months after the case closes, so that a complaint can be reviewed and a decision reversed. Then the record is anonymised. A review we took off the public Reviews page is not deleted: it stays part of your lap review, visible to you and your coach, and is never published again.

Complaining about a moderation decision

You can complain about any decision under this section, whether you are the person whose content was affected or the person who reported it, and whether we acted or decided not to act.

  • How: use the "Appeal this decision" link in our email, reply to that email, or write to support@gitgudracing.com with the case reference. Complaints are free.
  • When: within 6 months of the day you received our decision.
  • Who decides: a person, never an automated tool. We are a small company: our founder reviews every complaint himself.
  • How fast: a complaint sent with the link is acknowledged by email straight away, one sent by email within 2 working days, and we decide it within 14 days of receiving it. If we need longer, we tell you why and when.
  • What can happen: we confirm, change or reverse the decision. If we were wrong, we restore the content or lift the restriction without delay and tell you.
  • After that: you keep your right to go to court (see Governing law). If you are a consumer and your complaint is also about our contract with you, the ANPC SAL route in Complaints and dispute resolution is open to you.

Changes to this section

If we significantly change the rules in this section, the measures we use or the complaint procedure, we email every member at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Minor changes (typos, clarifications) take effect when published. Each version is kept, so you can ask us for the one that applied to you.

Community Standards on Discord

Our Discord server is run under Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines and these Community Standards: treat others with respect; no harassment, insults or discriminatory remarks; keep language suitable for all audiences; no spam or unapproved promotion outside the channels made for it; never share, request or expose anyone's private information. Breaking them can lead to a warning, a temporary restriction or removal from the server, decided by a server moderator. Removal from the server does not by itself end your membership: what you have paid for stays available on the website.

Who to contact

Our single point of contact for everything in this section, for members and for authorities, is under Digital Services Act: points of contact below.

Challenges

Academy challenges rank practice laps driven in iRacing on set tracks. To take part you join the GitGud team on Garage 61 and save your iRacing customer ID in the Academy. We then read the team roster and your laps on the challenge tracks from Garage 61 every 30 minutes, and show your best laps to other Academy members, on the challenge leaderboards (and in their Trials emails, when we send them), under your Garage 61 first name and last initial. To appear as "Anonymous Driver" instead, turn off "Show my name + avatar in public standings and race signup lists" in your Account Settings. Garage 61 and iRacing are run by other companies under their own terms. What we read and keep is in our Privacy Policy.

Partner codes and the affiliate programme

  • Partner codes and links. Some creators share a partner code or link for the Academy. A partner code gives a discount on the payment you make at checkout, as the checkout shows. Renewals are charged at the renewal price shown before you pay: on the checkout for a card or wallet, and, if you pay with PayPal, the recurring total PayPal shows before you approve. When you buy with a creator's code or through their link, that creator earns a commission from us, at no extra cost to you. A partner code does not change these terms or your rights.
  • Other companies' products. Where we publish a code or a link for another company's product, for example sim-racing hardware, that company is the seller and its own terms apply to that purchase; we may earn a commission on it.
  • The affiliate programme. If you join our affiliate programme to earn commissions by referring members, its own agreement governs the programme: the Affiliate Programme Agreement, which you accept in your affiliate dashboard.

Content and intellectual property

Courses, workshops, drills, the book, lap-review videos, tools and other coaching material, the website and our names and logos belong to us or to the coaches and contributors who license them to us. When you buy or subscribe, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use that content for your own non-commercial learning: for as long as you have access (a membership or a pass), or for as long as the Academy runs (a course or the book). You may not copy, download (except where we offer a download), share, stream, republish, resell or publicly show it, or use it as input to train machine-learning models.

When you submit a lap for review, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, transcode, and present the recording back to you and the assigned coach, and to include it in your coach's response video, which we host on our YouTube channel and show on your review page. We will not use your laps as marketing material without your explicit consent. How long we keep recordings is in our Privacy Policy.

What you post that other people can see, and the licence you give us for it, is covered in Community content and moderation. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything. If you believe content on our site infringes your rights, report it as described in Reporting content.

iRacing, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Le Mans Ultimate and Automobilista 2 are trademarks of their respective owners. We are an independent coaching service and are not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any of them.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Share or resell your access, or redistribute paid content (workshops, drills, recordings) outside the platform.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise circumvent access controls.
  • Submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes the rights of others.
  • Use the platform to harass other members, coaches or staff.
  • Cheat in a challenge, for example with laps that are not your own.
  • Misuse the money-back guarantee or partner codes.
  • Run bots, mass-scrape, or load-test our services without prior written consent.

What you post in the community is also governed by Community content and moderation.

Termination

You can leave at any time: cancel your membership (see How to cancel a membership) and, if you wish, delete your account (see Your account). Your rights of withdrawal and under the guarantee are not affected.

We may suspend or close an account that materially breaks these terms. We tell you why, and you can reply to support@gitgudracing.com; we only act without warning when the breach is serious (for example sharing paid content or attacking the service). If we end your account for a breach, your access ends immediately and fees for the current period are not refunded except where the law requires it; if we end a membership for any other reason, we refund the unused part of the period and any course or book you can no longer use.

Limitation of liability

We are liable for damage we cause intentionally or by gross negligence, for death or personal injury, and for anything that cannot be limited under the law of your country. For other damage, our liability for a claim connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits. This section does not reduce your statutory rights as a consumer.

We are not responsible for the simulators, Discord, Garage 61, payment providers and other services run by other companies, including their outages and their rules. Sim racing is a physical activity: set up your rig safely, follow your hardware maker's instructions and take breaks. We are not responsible for injury or damage caused by your own equipment.

Complaints and dispute resolution

Write to support@gitgudracing.com first (or call +40 724 963 908, or write to our registered office). We confirm receipt within 2 working days and give you our answer within 14 days; if we need longer, we tell you why and when you will have it. Tell us your order or booking and what you would like us to do.

If you are a consumer and we cannot agree, you can turn to the Romanian consumer authority's alternative dispute resolution service, ANPC SAL (anpc.ro/sal, complaint form at reclamatiisal.anpc.ro). We are not obliged to take part in SAL procedures; if you start one, we decide case by case whether to take part. You can also turn to the consumer authority or dispute body of your own country, and you can always go to court.

Complaints about your personal data can also go to the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro), or to the authority where you live; see our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of that country; we may only sue you there. In any other case the courts of Romania have jurisdiction.

Other terms

  • The whole agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy and, if you are a partner, the Affiliate Programme Agreement are the whole agreement between us for what they cover. Our marketing pages describe the service, and what they say about it binds us, but they do not add terms.
  • If a clause is invalid, the rest stays in force, and the invalid clause is read as closely to its purpose as the law allows.
  • Transfer. We may transfer our rights and duties under these terms to a company that takes over our business, as long as your rights are not reduced; we tell you by email. You may not transfer your account.
  • Notices. We write to the email address on your account, so keep it current. You can write to support@gitgudracing.com or to our registered office.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a clause at some point, we can still enforce it later.
  • Business buyers. If you buy for a business, the consumer rights in these terms apply only as far as the law requires for businesses.
