Sound familiar?

You're putting in the laps. But what should you change?

Your lap times have stopped improving

Same car, same track, same best lap. More laps aren't finding more time.

You can see where faster drivers gain time, but not how

The delta shows where the time goes. It doesn't tell you what to do differently with your hands and feet.

You found one fast lap but can't repeat it

One lap comes together, the next five don't, and you can't tell what was different.

This is where personalised sim racing coaching earns its place.

A coach watches you drive, finds the habits costing you the most, and shows you

what to change and how to practise it, on your car and your track.

What drivers say after a 1-on-1 session

Real reviews from drivers coached by Marian, posted in the GITGUD Racing Discord. Each result is what the driver reported, in their own words, not a promise.

“Ive already gained like 1.8 secs with just fixing my trail braking”

off pace
The problem

Other coaches had told him what to fix, like braking sooner, without showing him how.

What the session worked on

Trail braking, and the brake pressure settings on his pedals.

What they reported ↑

“once the lesson ended and I carried on applying what he was telling me I found over half a second”

Bobby Moss
The problem

A new class and an unsuccessful league race behind him.

What the session worked on

Throttle and brake overlap, threshold braking and steering at the apex, in the Mercedes at Mosport.

What they reported ↑

“By the end of the session, my old lines felt simply uncomfortable.”

original_angster
The problem

Gaming-style habits, still at the bottom after qualifying, and conflicting advice everywhere.

What the session worked on

A clear read of his driving: what was good, what was not, and concrete ways to improve.

I'm completely new to Sim Racing however his ability to spot my bad habits and mistakes after a couple short laps and explain to me why they were mistakes and formulate a plan to correct them that I could understand was simply outstanding.

He was able to show me small details and habits that add up to give me the couple tenths a lap I was missing.

Marian really points out YOUR driving style and doesnt try to force you to alter to something generic.

How your 1-on-1 coaching session works

  1. Set the goal

Tell your coach what you want from the session, and pick a car and track you already know.

  2. Drive while your coach watches

You share your screen and drive. Your coach watches your inputs, your lines and what the car does, in real time.

  3. Work through the changes

One change at a time, with feedback in your ear as you drive. Telemetry, replays and drawings come in where they help.

  4. Leave with priorities

Before the session ends you go through what to practise next, and the drills to do it.

Sessions
What we work on

Coaching built around your driving

Your coach starts with whatever costs you the most. Most sessions work on one or more of these six areas.

Braking and trail braking

Where you lose time under braking: pressure, release, and trailing the brake into the corner without unsettling the car.

Lines and corner exits

Entry speed, turn-in and apex choices, joined up so you get back to the throttle earlier.

Rotation and throttle control

Getting the car turned in the middle of the corner, then back to throttle without understeer, oversteer or wasted steering.

Consistency

Why your lap times move around, and how to make braking points, inputs and corners repeatable over a whole stint.

Racecraft

Overtaking, defending, positioning, and when to attack or wait, so battles don't cost you pace.

Practising effectively

What to practise and how, so each session on track has a purpose instead of just more laps.

Priorities depend on the driver: two drivers with the same lap time rarely need the same fix.

FAQ

Questions about 1-on-1 coaching

How does 1-on-1 sim racing coaching work?

Your session takes place live over Discord. You share your screen while driving, and your coach observes your inputs, technique and approach to each corner. Together, you identify what’s costing you time, practise specific changes and establish clear priorities to work on after the session.

Is coaching suitable for beginners and experienced drivers?

Yes. Each session is adapted to your current level and goals. Beginners can work on car control, braking and consistent laps, while experienced drivers can focus on smaller technical details, racecraft or breaking through a plateau. You don’t need a high iRating to benefit from coaching.

Do you only offer iRacing coaching?

iRacing is our main platform, but we also offer coaching in other racing simulators. Available simulators depend on the coach, so check the supported options before booking. Sessions focus on your driving and the techniques relevant to your chosen simulator.

Can I choose my car and track?

Yes, within your coach’s supported simulators and car classes. We recommend choosing a car and track you already know, so you can spend more of the session improving your technique. If you’re preparing for a particular race, mention that when booking.

What do I need for an online coaching session?

You’ll need your simulator and driving equipment, Discord installed on your computer, a working microphone and a stable internet connection for screen sharing. Have your chosen car and track loaded before the session. An overlay showing your brake, throttle and steering inputs helps your coach understand your driving.

Can I take a coaching session in VR?

Yes. You can drive in VR while sharing your simulator’s desktop view through Discord. Before the session, check that the shared view clearly shows the track and your driving inputs, and that your microphone works while you’re wearing the headset.

Will one coaching session make me faster?

A session can help you identify mistakes and understand how to correct them, and you may notice improvements during the session itself. The amount of progress varies with your starting point and how you apply the feedback. The goal is to leave with a better understanding of your driving and clear priorities you can practise independently.

How much does 1-on-1 coaching cost?

One-on-one coaching starts at $50 for a 60-minute session with Adrian. Marian offers 60-minute sessions for $70 and 90-minute sessions for $100. Academy members receive 15 additional minutes per session—mention your membership when booking.

How do I book a coaching session?

Click Choose Your Coach, open the coach’s booking calendar and select an available session. Follow the booking steps and provide details about your simulator, experience and what you’d like to improve. Check your confirmation for the session time and joining instructions.

What’s the difference between 1-on-1 coaching and Academy membership?

1-on-1 coaching is a private, live session where you work directly with a coach over Discord. You drive, receive immediate feedback and practise changes together. It’s ideal when you want dedicated time to work through specific challenges.

Academy membership provides ongoing support for your practice. You submit laps and race footage for review, receive personalised feedback and drills, and get access to courses, workshops and the community. You apply the advice at your own pace and return for further guidance.

Private coaching sessions are booked separately from Academy membership. You can use either on its own or combine live sessions with ongoing Academy support. Academy members get 15 extra minutes on every 1-on-1 session.
